Not news to those of you who watch state and local races, but the New York Senate will be very similar in intensity of national money as the Virginia state senate elections were in 2007. What’s even more fun is that there’s an upcoming state senate special election to fill a vacant GOP seat in New York state in the coming month. Whee!
Democratic candidates are starting to line up for state legislative races in November, said Saratoga County Democratic Chairman Larry Bulman.Possible candidates have expressed interest in running against state Sen. Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, R-Brunswick, Sen. Hugh Farley, R-Schenectady, and Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco, R-Schenectady.
Bulman would not identify the possible candidates, but said candidates likely will begin publicizing their interest in about two or three weeks.
