Kind of lets the proverbial air out the argument put forward by the legalize now crowd saying that simple possession cases are clogging up the legal system. Maybe what the folks in Vermont, and nationwide, want from their communities are more David Wooderson’s running around we guess. That would be good for America, and great for our youth.
From station houses to lawyers’ offices to courtrooms to prisons, many of the legal system’s workers say handling small-time marijuana cases leaves plenty of opportunity to address more pressing matters. That consensus differs from an argument by proponents of a bill to decriminalize possession or sale of less than 4 ounces of the drug as a necessary time-saver for law enforcement.
