Florida’s attorney general is reviewing whether cruise line companies adequately disclosed fuel surcharges.
Attorney General Bill McCollum’s office said it has received 150 complaints from customers regarding the surcharges. The office confirmed that it is reviewing complaints about whether cruise lines can retroactively impose a fuel supplement/fuel surcharge to passengers and whether consumers were aware of surcharges at the point of sale.
