Who knew Brooklyn was in Connecticut? Wait, we’re missing the point of this story aren’t we?
Hartford — Some Democratic state lawmakers are tired of cell phone companies rounding up customers’ usage to the nearest minute. They say the nearest second would be more fair.“There ought to be a uniform form of billing for actual time,” Senate President Donald Williams, D-Brooklyn, said Thursday. The current system, he said, costs customers in Connecticut tens of thousands of minutes.
Williams and the rest of the Senate Democrats are proposing legislation that requires cell phone companies to bill customers by the seconds they use.
