Attorney General Rob McKenna called methamphetamine the “top public safety priority in the Attorney General’s office” and identity theft the “top consumer safety protection issue.”
Reducing methamphetamine use will reduce identity theft, he said, because addicts turn to ID theft to finance their habit.
Speaking Thursday at a joint luncheon of the Kelso Noon Rotary and Kiwanis and the Longview Kiwanis, the state’s chief legal officer outlined the steps his office has taken to fight meth – including presenting programs at high schools all over the state.
