Yes kids, it may not be Aurora, but it’s still game on in the New York State Senate in November.
SYRACUSE — A Democratic assemblyman, Darrel Aubertine, upset Republican Will Barclay in a special election for the state Senate’s 48th district today.The win moves the Democrats a step closer to controlling the Senate.
With 99% of the precincts reporting, Mr. Aubertine has 27,532 votes, or 52%, to 25,001 votes for Mr. Barclay, 48%.
