The slot machines, not players, are the only things lighting up at Empire City casino in Yonkers, N.Y.
In Atlantic City, N.J., 25 percent of each casino’s floor is open to smoking.
Rhode Island’s smoking ban covers all indoor public spaces except for its two casinos.
And, if some Connecticut legislators get their way, smoking in the state’s two tribal casinos will be banned wherever Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun abide by Connecticut’s liquor laws.
State legislators, tribal officials and casino workers will meet this morning in Hartford to discuss the proposal, Senate Bill 419.
