TN: Drunken Dem Rep. Rob Briley Won’t Seek Re-election

The drinking and driving dem who made headlines as the star of his arrest tape decides against running for reelection:

Troubled state Rep. Rob Briley, who was captured on videotape screaming for police officers to shoot him after he led them on a high-speed chase, will leave office at the end of his term.

State House Speaker Jimmy Naifeh on Tuesday confirmed Briley’s decision.

When police pulled him over, he cursed the officers and pleaded with them to shoot him in the head during a tantrum that was captured on the cruiser’s video camera.
