SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The state attorney general’s office has charged 51 people with improperly registering to vote in eastern Utah’s Daggett County.
Fraudulent registration is a Class A misdemeanor.
A complaint filed with the state challenged the residency of 70 voters in November 2006. Attorney General Mark Shurtleff said people must register honestly about the voting district where they live.
