EVANSVILLE–Shredding paper and spotting scams online doesn’t cut it anymore, according Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter. The state’s top prosecutor stopped in Evansville Sunday to unveil a new identity theft-fighting unit.
“It is unbelievable to have to go through the crime of identity theft,” said ID theft survivor Michelle Sybesma alongside the Attorney General. Her information was stolen from a job application ten years ago.
