GRAND RAPIDS — Sitting on nearly 30 cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon, Jude’s Barbershops owner Thomas Martin is taking his case to Lansing to restore his cut-and-a-beer service. After local authorities cut off his free-beer promotion, he turned to a state legislator, who has asked Attorney General Mike Cox’s office to research whether giving customers a beer violates state law.
“It’s just a nice benefit,” Thomas said Wednesday. “It’s like the old-fashioned service.”
