Colorado Attorney General John Suthers on Wednesday announced a seven-count indictment that alleges Van Vleet, who conducted his business from an office at 1024 Center Ave., solicited investments between February 2003 and June 2005 in Synergy Media Group, a Denver-based company. Although Van Vleet led potential investors to believe he was a majority owner of the company, he only owned 41 percent.Phone messages to Synergy Media Group were not returned Wednesday.
According to the indictment, Van Vleet collected money from about 26 investors, many of who live in Fort Collins.
