Stumbo, a Democrat, also said he’ll get results of a poll late this month and wants to decide by Dec. 1 whether to run for re-election as attorney general or run for governor in 2007. But he downplayed the likelihood of running for governor.
“I don’t have any plans to run for governor at this time,” he said.
Oh, I guess we should just take him at his word. Or, if you have your handy poli-speak to English dictionary you know he’s actually saying “My campaign won’t draft a gubernatorial campaign strategy plan without a poll – that would be foolish!”
