Website Parody: NV Dem State Senate Candidate

Nevada Republican State Senator Bob Beers is running for re-election in the 6th Senate District out in Clark County Nevada (Vegas baby, Vegas!).  His current opponent is professional spokesperson Allison Copening.  We were doing some rooting around, because that’s what SNS peeps do this time of year – root, and came across this post on PolitickerNV about a website that, at first blush, wants you to believe it’s the home page for the Democrat candidate challenging Senator Beers.  It has a fun slapped together feel and any person who hasn’t had more than a few cocktails could notice pretty quick that this ain’t the real deal.

Ms. Copening tells PolitickerNV that the site is laughable (it is funny – we’ll give her that) and that it was a mistake that she didn’t buy the allisoncopening dot info domain.  Ooops – she did it again moment we guess – because it appears that she scrambled to get her official campaign website up and running – replete with information on where she stands on the issues, and why she’d be a better state senator than the incumbent Republican – and she made another web blunder.

Well – she did get a website up, and let’s just say that it’s lacking a little in substance.  Heck, it’s lacking in ALL substance.  Not even a picture, or a way to give money to this upstart Democrat spokespeep turned aspiring policy maker – medium tactical blunder for such a great communicator.  This has all of the trappings of a candidate with lots of sizzle (ok, maybe snap and crackle – pop just didn’t show up) and no steak.

Stay tuned – we will.

I feel that when the public does get an opportunity to listen to Allison speak and see first hand what I saw when I met her for the first time, on April 11th, they will not only vote for her, but want to help her get elected. I think Allison is a very intelligent and motivated person who is going to be ready to take over for Bob Beers I was in jury duty along with many others and Allison talked to a few of us about her asperations. At first I was not going to listen because I am a Republican. However after listening for a bit and watching her listen to others I was interested. I am going to be watching her closely. Good luck Allison and for those waiting for her website, I believe it will be up and running soon. Good luck Allison

By the way Allison was in jury duty as well. She was not politicing at the court house. That would be a great idea though. At least they would have an audience that had nothing better to do.
