Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said Thursday he is suing a major U.S. pharmaceutical distributor on allegations it illegally inflated wholesale costs for hundreds of brand-name drugs.
Blumenthal said “illegal and deceptive practices” by San Francisco-based McKesson Corp. resulted in Connecticut consumers and state-funded health care programs paying millions more than they should have for Celebrex, Lipitor, Prevacid, Flonase, Nexium and other medications.
