From WKYC:
Cordray claims Democrats forced Dann to resign by withdrawing their support for him. That came after weeks of stories about alleged sexual harassment by aides Dann hired and Dann’s own inter-office affair.
Cordray pledges to restore the office’s honor and reputation.
Republicans claim Dann only left after they launched multiple investigations into alleged misconduct in his office. Results of those probes could figure in the race.
Interim Attorney General Nancy Rogers, Ohio State’s Law School Dean, is running the office now.
Cordray says he’s involved with many issues as treasurer that will overlap into the Attorney General’s office agenda. Some of those issues include protecting and helping foreclosure victims and credit card users facing changing terms from credit card companies.
This will be a unique campaign. Candidates must raise between a million and two million dollars and compete with Presidential candidates for voters’ attention in a brief race.
