NC: Democratic Activist and a Dem Official Accused in Rape

This is just strange.  Democrats in North Carolina can communicate with the spirit world.  Nutty.  From the Heraldsun:

Police have charged a Durham County Democratic Party activist and her husband with several felonies in connection with the reported physical and sexual abuse of a man and a woman.

The husband, Joseph Scott Craig, 25, of 2305 Albany St., has been charged with one count of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree kidnapping and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

He was being held Friday in the Durham County Jail, in lieu of a $590,000 secured bond.

Craig’s wife, county Democratic Party third vice-chairwoman Joy Johnson, 30, also of 2305 Albany St., has been charged with one count of aiding and abetting a rape and one count of aiding and abetting an assault. She was being held in the jail in lieu of a $270,000 secured bond.

Police received their first report about the case at 6:26 p.m. Thursday, and reported arresting Craig and Johnson on Friday.

In arrest warrants, Durham police Investigator Ronald Guardino Jr. said the assault charges against Craig allege that he beat both a man and a woman with a wooden cane.

With the approval of gambling Casino’s in Kansas.(and the state revenue that it will generate)..Kansas officials should consider eliminating the food tax in Kansas. Texas (whose population in 2003 was 22,490,022) has no food tax and evidently they also have more intelegent State officials. Kansas, whose predicted population for 2010 will be 2,940,084, evidently has polititions whose main interest is lining their own pockets.
Why can a state with 22 million people have no food tax and a state with only 2 million fumble with the idea? Your citizens support you, what do you do for us Kansas?
