2007 and 2008 would be so much easier if national Dems followed the “trends”
coming out of the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

RICHMOND – When last seen in 2002,
former Richmond Commonwealth's Attorney Joe Morrissey was being ordered by a
Henrico County jury to pay $1 million to a man who'd sued him for assault and
battery.

Morrissey, a cheerful and pugnacious
sort who recruited law clients with the slogan "He'll fight for you"
(literally), had come over for the trial from Ireland, where he was teaching
law while waiting out a three-year suspension of his law license.

Now permanently disbarred, Joe's
back. And he's doing… what else? Running for a seat in the Virginia General
Assembly. You can't keep a fighting man down.

Million dollar fine, assault and battery, teaching law in one country
while disbarred in another…you just can’t beat it, and you can’t
make
this stuff up.
