From RGJ.com:
Who’s running: Former Assemblywoman Sharron Angle and state Sen. Bill Raggio
Why watch: Determines the fate of Senate Majority Leader Raggio, in office 36 years but who hasn’t faced a contested election in more than a quarter century. His power has been seen as the buffer for Northern Nevada in the face of Las Vegas population growth. The 81-year-old is seeking his final term. He seeks to convince voters his tenure and experience are needed as the state heads into its most dire budget shortfall in recent history.
Angle is a staunch anti-tax advocate who has made a name for herself as a strong grass-roots campaigner. Although she is underfunded compared with Raggio, Angle has focused on door-to-door campaigning and has strong name recognition from her unsuccessful run for Congress in 2006.
Republican Assembly District 32
