Republican Attorney General Candidate Mike Gibbons today is being honored with the Missouri Sheriff’s Association “Missouri Senator of the Year” award for his efforts on behalf of law enforcement including his successful efforts to boost pay for hard-working deputy sheriffs.
The group said Gibbons was receiving the award for his work in both establishing a bipartisan task force to study funding for county sheriff offices as well as his personal efforts in getting a deputy sheriff supplemental salary bill signed into law by the Governor.
