From nj.com:
The popular website Facebook will use a system developed by the state Attorney General’s Office to helps teens and adults report unwanted online advances and offensive material to authorities, officials announced yesterday.
Facebook, the largest social networking site with more than 100 million users, will test the “Report Abuse!” system for six months to determine whether it is better than what it currently uses, Attorney General Anne Milgram said.
Social-networking sites like Facebook have been under pressure for years from authorities to do a better job patrolling their sites to watch out for child predators. A New Jersey investigation last year found sites routinely failed to investigate complaints that minors were being solicited online for sex and had pages with pornographic and violent images.
