From STLtoday:
Republican incumbent Peter Kinder and Democrat Sam Page, a state representative, clashed on Sunshine Law, health care, public funding for stadiums and the Tour of Missouri, the bicycle race that ends in St. Louis this weekend.
Kinder went on the offensive in his opening statement, criticizing Page for what he called an inconsistent stance on Sunshine Law.
At issue is a Sunshine Law request filed by Creve Coeur city councilwoman Laura Bryant in which she sought records from Page’s office regarding ethics complaints he filed against her and another council person. Bryant was in the audience during the debate. The ethics complaints were dismissed by the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Kinder alleged that Page had refused to respond to that request.
