Towards the end of the Biden’s eight-minute Hollywood debut, Leno asked him point-blank whether he would try to fill his father’s seat.
“I’m going to sound like a politician here, but I mean this from the bottom of my heart. My life experience is such that any time I look beyond two, three months — a couple of years — life intervenes and has a different plan for me,” Biden said.
Leno took no time to puncture the rehearsed answer with humor. “That sounds like a yes,” Leno said as the audience laughed and Biden shook his head back and forth.
