Kentucky Democrat A.G. Candidate Jack Conway apparently is a fan of Bobby Kennedy
and appears to be equating himself with Bobby Kennedy. In this video Jack says that like
Bobby Kennedy, he’s a dreamer…Jack asks “why not?” just
like Bobby Kennedy used to end his speeches to exhort people to do more with
their lives. It’s really sweet that Jack Conway is trying to make
all those smart Kentucky voters think he’s just like Bobby Kennedy.
I mean, look at Bobby
Kennedy’s record and legacy:
He served his nation as seaman in the United States Navy, played
football and graduated from Harvard University, continued his service to the
country as United States Attorney General where he made the fight against
corruption and organized crime a cornerstone of his tenure, served as President
John F. Kennedy’s most trusted advisors during the Cuban Missile Crisis,
and is viewed by many as a great contributor to Civil Rights in
this country. In addition to all of this, Bobby Kennedy served in the
United States Senate, and sought his party’s nomination for the
Presidency of the United States before being assassinated in 1968.
Now, take a look at Jack Conway’s long and distinguished career:
A failed campaign for United States Congress in 2002, legal counsel to
the Cabinet Secretary under Democrat Governor Paul Patton (where he takes credit for
every single thing the Governor did that was positive), political appointee, a
private attorney, and lastly a Congressional aide. Oh, and he wants to be
Governor someday, it appears.
Hmmm…Jack Conway…Bobby Kennedy…Jack Conway….Bobby
Kennedy…Jack Con…from the looks of it I think we can safely say
that Jack Conway is no Bobby Kennedy. This is like channeling Eleanor
Roosevelt, or maybe even Lloyd
Bentsen for Pete’s sake. I’m not sure the comparison is
well taken.
