Legislators were in town to show their support for Republican Bryce Marlatt… Running for Senate in District 27.

At the reception Marlatt said he’s received a great response all across the district to his candidacy. People in every county and every community have been working to help him with his campaign, he said.

“I’m using this opportunity to show them the gems we have here in northwest Oklahoma,” Marlatt said. “I believe this is one of our state’s strongest assets.”

Marlatt said that running for office is a most humbling experience.

“You really learn a lot about yourself. You learn a lot about what people think of you,” Marlatt said. “Everyone here knows that I ran against Rep. Hickman in 2004 for the House of Representatives. He beat one heck of a guy to get where he’s at.”
