Michael Gibbons, the Republican candidate for attorney general, on Thursday picked up a $1.1 million donation from the Republican State Leadership Committee, a Virginia-based political group.
The donation dwarfs any received so far in the attorney general’s race and could set a new standard for all down-ballot statewide races.
“We are appreciative of the RSLC’s support of Senator Gibbons in his race for attorney general and hope they continue to support attorney general candidates with integrity,” said Caleb Jones, Gibbons’ campaign manager.
