More than $200,000 has been spent by candidates and by their political parties in the battle for the 46th Ohio House of Representatives District, according to campaign finance reports released yesterday.
State Rep. Barbara Sears (R., Sylvania) is running to keep the seat to which she was appointed at the beginning of the year; her Democratic opponent is Sylvania lawyer Darlene Dunn.
Reports filed locally show that the levy campaign for COSI has raised $167,200 toward passing the 0.17-mill levy to re-open the science center.
