From the Plain Dealer:
With Republicans trying to hold on to a 53-46 advantage in the Ohio House, both parties are focusing on more than a dozen House districts that will largely decide which party controls the 99-member chamber. But as campaigning enters the final stretch, spending by Democrats in key races has easily outpaced Republicans, according to the financial reports.
The spending has favored Democrats in all but two of the top 10 hottest Ohio House races. For example, in Summit County’s 42nd House District, where Democrat Mike Moran is trying to wrest a seat from recent Republican appointee Rep. Richard Nero, the Democrat has outspent the Republican, 12-to-1.
