From the Great Falls Tribune:
The hotly contested race for Montana’s attorney general office is blowing away fundraising records.
Both Republican Tim Fox and Democrat Steve Bullock have raised more money than any previous candidate for the office or any statewide position in Montana, except governor or Montana Supreme Court justice, according to their campaigns and the nonprofit National Institute on Money in State Politics.
Bullock has raised $400,000 for the race, said Kevin Downs, his campaign manager.
Fox’s campaign has brought in $308,000, according to Chuck Denowh, his campaign manager. Denowh noted that Fox joined the race in June 2007, 10 months after Bullock started fundraising.
