From STLtoday.com:
The upside: A record amount — at least $45 million — has been spent on TV campaign advertising this year on Missouri broadcast stations by all the major candidates on Tuesday’s ballot.
The downside: All that money has gone for more than 101,000 TV ad spots, almost a quarter of them aired on St. Louis stations. And that can lead to viewer fatigue.
“I expect on a per-voter basis, Missouri is close to the top states” on campaign ad spending, said Evan Tracey, president of TNSMI-Campaign Media Analysis Group, a nonpartisan firm that has tracked campaign ad spending on broadcast stations for the Post-Dispatch.
