So, the tally for the GOP convention is now 3. Dave Foster, state Senator Ken Cuccinelli, and former U.S. Attorney John Brownlee. From the Sun Gazette:
Former School Board Chairman Dave Foster this week kicks off his quest for the Republican nomination for attorney general, telling party members he is a pragmatic conservative who can command votes from all areas of the commonwealth.
“I think I’m the best combination of geographic appeal – I have deep roots in Virginia [and] can help Republicans be competitive in Northern Virginia,” said Foster, who is running in a field of three Republicans for the commonwealth’s third-highest elected position. The party will select a nominee during a convention in late May.
