You gotta be tough if you get into the political game in New York. Cuomo’s ducking questions about his former in-law, and admitting it to reporters. A certain New York congressman says that Ms. Kennedy is as qualified as this girl from the block – tough group of friends Democrats are. From The New York Times:
Andrew M. Cuomo, an often blustery and rarely reserved politician, has been trying as hard as he can these days to appear as if he does not want to fill Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Senate seat. His refrain: It is the governor’s choice.
For Mr. Cuomo, the situation is especially delicate in part because of his highly public and acrimonious divorce from Kerry Kennedy, who has been prominently suggesting that her cousin, Caroline Kennedy, would be an excellent choice, as Jeremy W. Peters of The Times writes in a news analysis.
