From NewsOK:
House Republicans announced a plan Tuesday to raise the number of therapists for autistic children.
The proposal calls for enacting a licensing process for national board-certified behavioral analysts and expanding state programs that train doctors to diagnose and treat autism. The cost is estimated at $500,000.
“Our proposal will allow market forces to alleviate the costs of autism services and increase access to care,” said House Speaker Chris Benge, R-Tulsa.
