From The Saratogian:
Tax reformers plan to launch an Omnibus Bill in Albany today with a goal of providing short-term relief and long-term changes to property tax law.
The measure is similar to, but slightly broader than one co-sponsored by state Sen. Betty Little, R-Glens Falls.
Like Little’s proposal, the Omnibus Bill calls for a “circuit breaker” that would cap taxes after they reach a certain amount, based on a person’s income, with the state making up the difference.
