Democrats typically oppose fraud fighting steps like this…why is that? We mean, voting is a big deal in this country. Bigger than driving! Yet, Democrats think that possessing a phone bill should be a valid form of identification. Nothing says proof of who you are more than a bill from your phone company. From AJC.com:
The federal appeals court in Atlanta on Wednesday upheld Georgia’s voter identification law, saying the burden imposed by requiring a photo ID is outweighed by the interest in safeguarding the right to vote.
The unanimous ruling by a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals relied heavily on a U.S. Supreme Court decision last April upholding a similar law in Indiana.
