You could say the best thing that ever happened to Jan Brewer was fellow Arizona Republican John McCain losing his bid for the presidency.
With President Obama’s inauguration Tuesday and Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano’s subsequent confirmation as secretary of homeland security, the dominoes have fallen, landing Secretary of State Brewer in the governor’s seat.
Napolitano’s staff delivered a written, signed resignation letter to Brewer just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
And in other news, Phoenix’s own Sean Noble notes that the stock market opened up nearly 100pts (up over 182 pts as of 1:41pm Central) today – credit to newly minted GOP Governor Jan Brewer?
