Tony Phyrillias also weighs in with a few of his own thoughts on the future of our very own Tom Corbett. From The Morning Call:
Pennsylvania’s attorney general, auditor general and treasurer were sworn in Tuesday in separate Harrisburg ceremonies that inaugurated the row officers’ four-year terms.
Attorney General Tom Corbett and Auditor General Jack Wagner, potential opponents in next year’s gubernatorial contest, were re-elected by comfortable margins in November.
Treasurer Rob McCord, who replaced appointee Robin Wiessmann, began his first term.
In brief remarks to friends and supporters, Corbett did not mention his office’s highest profile investigation — a probe of the alleged diversion of legislative employees and government resources for political campaigns. Afterward, he told reporters the investigation into legislative bonuses and related matters does not have a timeline.
And in a sort of related post, Virginia Republican AG Bob McDonnell is listed along with Pennsylvania Republican AG Tom Corbett as the future of the GOP. Hey, that’s been our message all along!
