From the Denver Post:
In a somewhat unusual gesture of bipartisanship, Senate President Peter Groff, D-Denver, said he has asked the legislature’s Select Committee on Job Creation and Economic Growth to give its seal of approval to Senate Bill 85, from Republican Sen. Mark Scheffel of Parker. The bill would gradually eliminate the business personal-property tax over a 20-year period.
But Groff stopped short of endorsing the bill. “If we’re able to do that, I think it helps small businesses preserve jobs and maybe create some as well,” he said.
