From the New York Post:
In a surprise move, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has accepted an invitation to address the state Conservative Party on Monday, further fueling speculation he may run for governor next year, The Post has learned.
“We’ve never had a Cuomo at one of our events,” said party Chairman Mike Long.
The Conservative Party repeatedly opposed former Gov. Mario Cuomo during his three terms in office and sought to turn the name “Cuomo” into a political epithet.
Governor, er, General Cuomo is talking to the conservative party, laying claim to ground not usually trod by an A.G., in any state. Politics on the Hudson has Cuomo saying that his only political plans are to run for re-election. Well that’s hardly shocking news. He just doesn’t have anything on paper, so no official plans, that line out a path to the Governor’s chair. No plans…posh!
