Not cooperating with state auditors is a bad idea. It tends to make peeps on the outside think you a) have something to hide; and b) think the state government is your own private sandbox. From PennLive.com:
Some state House Republicans want Attorney General Tom Corbett to investigate possible improprieties surrounding state contracts with a technology firm and for the Legislature to reform contracting practices.
“The time has come to end cronyism or insider dealing,” said Rep. Doug Reichley, R-Lehigh, at a Capitol news conference Wednesday.
The Patriot-News published details of a preliminary audit into state contracts with Deloitte, an international technology and consulting company based in New York, on Wednesday. The audit draft, prepared by Auditor General Jack Wagner’s staff, denounces Gov. Ed Rendell’s administration for not providing details of what led to nearly $600 million in state business for Deloitte. Auditors also raised concerns about possible favoritism toward the company.
