Nothing beats being “extremely concerned about the financial stability”of a state office. And no, this has nothing to do with the faltering economy. The good news is that the Democrat S.O.S. in question is no longer in office. The better news is that she still has taxpayers paying her salary. Nothing beats being cute with taxpayer funds intended to help others vote! This really makes the case for Democrats holding this crucial offices…not! She ran for the U.S. House in 2008, and this campaign video, when viewed with this new info in mind, is really quite amusing. Make it last all night!
From the Santa Fe New Mexican:
State Auditor Hector Balderas said Tuesday an audit of the New Mexico Secretary of State’s office found “severe mismanagement” of federal funds and that his office will forward information to the FBI, federal election officials and the state Attorney General’s Office.
Balderas also said he’s “extremely concerned about the financial stability” of the secretary of state’s operations.
New Mexico’s own Mario Burgos gives his perspective on this gem. Heath Haussamen tells us that the former S.O.S. questions the timing of the release…that’s a nice politicians response.
