The Alabama House has passed a bill that would prevent convicted sex offenders from living within 2,000 feet of a college or university.
The bill by Rep. Jamie Ison of Mobile would also prevent convicted sex offenders from loitering within 500 yards of a college or university.
The bill passed the House Tuesday on a 97-0 vote.
