This’ll be a busy race for Republican state leaders in Michigan. In addition to Terri Lynn Land, Republican A.G. Mike Cox and Republican State Senator Tom George have thrown their names into the mix. Oh, and yes this creates some openings for S.O.S. and A.G. in Michigan in 2010 as well. You talk about making the case for supporting the RSLC – these three folks are it! From The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room:
Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land will run for governor in 2010, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Land will file paperwork to lay groundwork for her run today, the paper reported, and will speak at a state meeting of Republicans this weekend.
Land joins a growing field of Republicans hoping to pick up the Michigan governorship, where two-term Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D) is prohibited from running again.
