Gov. John Lynch announced today that he will renominate Kelly Ayotte to the post of attorney general. The Executive Council must approve the nomination.
The governor, a Democrat, has chosen to retain a Republican in this key position. Many political observers have speculated that Ayotte would be a powerful candidate for elective office.
