From the Idaho Statesman:
A House lawmaker is complaining the sovereign state of Idaho isn’t getting the respect it deserves.
Rep. Dick Harwood, a St. Maries Republican, told the House State Affairs Committee Tuesday the federal government has overstepped its role by imposing on states measures like the Endangered Species Act and No Child Left Behind.
State sovereignty is outlined in the U.S. Constitution’s 10th amendment, which says powers not granted to the federal government are reserved for the states.
