Washington consumers filed more than 25,000 written complaints with the Attorney General’s Office in 2008 — the greatest number since 2002.
Phone companies were most often the topic of complaints. In fact, telecommunications has topped the list of most maligned industries for a dozen years.
The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division on Tuesday released its annual Top 20 list of consumer complaint categories in conjunction with National Consumer Protection Week.
