The attorney general’s representative, Christopher E. Krueger, has to rank as the day’s worst speaker so far. His job was to articulate Jerry Brown’s minority legal opinion that Prop. 8 does not constitute a revision, but nonetheless is unconstitutional under other precedents (primarily older cases).
But Krueger has been tripped up several times in his arguments and finally has drawn Justices Marvin Baxter and Carol Corrigan to ask some questions after sitting stonefaced without a question.
