From the Associated Press:
House Speaker Chris Benge’s idea for promoting alternative energy in Oklahoma moved a step closer to reality when the House overwhelmingly passed legislation designed to increase the use of compressed natural gas as a fuel and encourage alternative energy industries to locate in the state.
One measure would help expand the number of vehicles running on alternative fuels like CNG and expand the number of publicly available fueling stations across the state. Another would make companies that support, repair and maintain facilities used by the wind and solar energy industries eligible for the state’s Quality Jobs Act.
