I see from Blake Kinkade’s blog — uh, I mean Blake Rutherford’s — that a prospect has arisen that a young man named Tyler Denton might wage a Democratic primary challenge to Bill Halter’s re-election as lieutenant governor next time, in 2010.
Since this information comes from the son of the Clinton school dean and Denton has close ties to former President Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, which the Clinton School dean formerly headed, I’m offereng an educated guess that this suggests some continuing animus among Clinton insiders toward Halter for, oh, I don’t know, cashing in on his own Clinton connections or daring to challenge Mike Beebe if only for a few days or, well, having a mind, and a good one, of his own.
