Former Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg wants to return to public service.
The ex-Palin administration official says he will run for mayor of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The borough will hold a special election June 9 to choose a successor to Curt Menard, who died March 2.
Colberg says he filed his intent to run with the Alaska Public Offices Commission.
